De Backer Koen
Long distance racing pigeons in Hoevenen-Antwerp
I don't have enough time to race to many pigeons. I have a family with 2 young children, a busy job, that's why I only will race cocks in 2018.
2018 will be started with 3 lofts and each 12 cocks.
14 of them will be old birds, the other ones will be yearlings.
The old ones...
- 3 of year 2014
- 2 of year 2015
- 9 of year 2016
Because the hen "Zwart Witkopke" won 3x prizeon Barcelona and also 1:10 on St Vincent and 27th provincial
Valence from 818 p I'm doubting to race her again (at the young birds loft). The other option is put her on the breeding loft.
It will be a decision I make during the year, but I think it will be a 4th time Spain for her.
In 2017 she was clocked in the dark at 23h12, good for the 23rd pigeon in Antwerp.
How will the 2018 season look like?
There are 7 international races, and I'll try to race them all with my old birds.
Yearlings will have a programme like 3x 480-650km and probably 1 race 700-800km.
